Goldenberry Farms receives ZOMAC Accreditation

The fast-growing agriculture company received a ZOMAC Accreditation for investing to rehabilitate areas previously damaged by the Colombian Armed Conflict

The fields are located on a property owned by Goldenberry Farms, a fast-growing  fresh fruit company based in the United States.   Goldenberry Farms operates with a focus on responsible commercial agriculture, organic farming and bio improvement  research, as well as social responsibility.

The company has been awarded ZOMAC status in Colombia, for its work in rural areas (especially those most affected by the armed conflict) to create jobs, careers, further education, and enhance communities.

Goldenberry Farms, and it’s “where good things grow” mission have been a welcome addition to our community and region, commented JFF, mayor of Cocorna province.   In addition to developing facilities and creating local opportunities, they have developed infrastructure including roads and made a commitment to support local vendors.    This kind of thinking and commitment is a win/win for everyone, and I think really embodies the spirit of what we hoped for from the ZOMAC program”
